The app license

Dupelganger is licensed under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). That agreement governs your license to use the app. This page explains product and purchase details; it does not replace Apple’s standard EULA or limit mandatory consumer rights.

Stackcurious LLC is the app provider and your contact for product support. Apple’s role in distribution and payment is governed by its applicable agreements.

Free use and the one-time unlock

Scanning is free. The free tier lets you clear up to 50 copies per month. The optional unlock removes the monthly clearing limit and adds lookalike review, screenshot cards, Shrink, bulk approval and duplicate document cleanup.

The unlock is a non-consumable in-app purchase, paid once. It is not a subscription and does not auto-renew. The advertised US price is $9.99; Apple shows the applicable local price and taxes before you confirm. Availability and pricing can vary by region.

Payment, restoration and refunds

Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. To restore an existing unlock, sign in to the same Apple Account used for purchase and choose Settings → Restore purchase in Dupelganger. Restoration requires access to Apple’s services.

For purchase or refund requests, use Apple’s Report a Problem service. Refund eligibility is determined by Apple’s policies and applicable law; we cannot promise or directly issue an App Store refund. See our purchase help if restoration fails.

Review before clearing

You choose the files the app can access and approve what to clear. Suggested keepers and lookalike groups help with review; they are not guarantees that a particular image is the one you prefer. Review important files and keep a backup before cleanup.

Photos and videos cleared through Photos move to Recently Deleted for up to 30 days unless permanently deleted sooner. Emptying Recently Deleted is permanent. iCloud Photos can sync deletions to other devices. Storage estimates and the time at which iOS releases space can vary.

Document deletion uses a provider’s trash where available. When it is unavailable, the app asks for separate confirmation before permanent removal. Provider-specific recovery is not guaranteed. Shrink creates a re-encoded copy; file size, metadata and quality can differ. Compare the result before approving removal of the original.

Your content and privacy

You retain ownership of your photos and documents. Use the app only with content and folders you are authorized to access. Local processing, permissions, support correspondence and this website’s analytics are described in our privacy policy.

Compatibility and support

Dupelganger requires a compatible iPhone running iOS 17 or later. Some system integrations and on-device intelligence features require newer software or supported hardware. Results depend on the accessible library, permissions, available storage and file providers.
