Why does nothing get deleted right away?
Because nothing should be. Everything you confirm is moved to Photos' Recently Deleted, where it sits for 30 days before iOS removes it. Change your mind and you can put any of it back from Photos → Recently Deleted; Dupelganger never erases anything permanently.
How does the free tier work?
You can clear up to 50 copies a month for free, and exact-duplicate scanning is never limited. The one-time $9.99 unlock lifts the monthly limit and adds lookalike stacks, screenshot cards, Shrink for oversized videos, and duplicate documents. It is a single purchase — there is no subscription.
How do I restore a purchase?
Settings › Restore. The unlock is tied to your Apple Account, not the device, so it comes back on a new iPhone or after a reinstall.
Why are some lookalikes not found?
Lookalike grouping leans on the face and scene grouping iOS builds for your library, and that only exists on a real device — in the Simulator, and on a device that has not finished processing a freshly imported library, those groups come back empty. Give the phone time on power and Wi-Fi and run the scan again.
How do I stop the monthly check?
Settings. Turn the monthly check off there and the reminder stops; the app keeps working exactly as before, it just will not nudge you.
