Privacy Policy
Effective September 27, 2026 · Shift Calendar 2.0
Shift Calendar is built so that we cannot see your schedule. This policy covers the little that leaves your device and why.
Your schedule stays on your devices and in your own iCloud
Your shifts, pay rates, differentials, notes, and settings are stored on your iPhone and iPad, and in your own iCloud while iCloud sync is on. The Apple Watch app shows data sent to it from your iPhone. There is no Shift Calendar account, and we never see, collect, or transmit your schedule or pay information.
iCloud sync
iCloud sync is free and on by default for new installs when you're signed in to iCloud; you can turn it off any time in Settings. It keeps your schedule in your own private iCloud database, under your Apple Account, so your devices stay in step. There is no Shift Calendar account and no server of ours in between, so we cannot see that data. If you turn sync off, the copy in iCloud stays in your iCloud until you remove it in iOS Settings.
Calendar access
Shift Calendar asks for calendar access only when you turn on sharing with your partner (Pro), during setup or in Settings › Share with your partner. It creates one calendar named ShiftCheck and writes only to it: one event per shift, with no pay. It never changes or deletes anything in your other calendars. Your partner sees the ShiftCheck calendar through iCloud calendar sharing, which you set up in Apple's Calendar app (how to share it). Declining access leaves the rest of the app working.
Anonymous usage counts
Shift Calendar sends anonymous usage events (which screens and features get used) over HTTPS to our own analytics service at pulse.stackcurious.com. Each request carries a random install ID made on your device and not linked to your identity, plus the app version, iOS version, device model, and region. It never includes your schedule, pay, rates, names, notes, or shift dates. We don't sell it or use it for advertising or tracking.
To opt out, turn off Settings › Privacy › Share anonymous usage. Anything not yet sent is deleted and nothing more is sent.
Purchases
The Pro unlock is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details. Purchases restore through your Apple account.
No ads, no third-party trackers
Shift Calendar contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and it does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
This website
These pages use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. Web Analytics counts page views and taps on the App Store buttons (the page, where on it, and the link without its query string), without cookies. Speed Insights measures how fast each page loads. Neither collects personal data such as your name, email, or anything you type into the calculators.
Deleting your data
Delete the app and its data on that device goes with it. If iCloud sync is on, remove the ShiftCheck data from your iCloud in iOS Settings. Turning off Share with your partner lets you delete the ShiftCheck calendar too.
