Terms of Use

Effective October 22, 2026 · Stack Curious LLC

These terms are between you and Stack Curious LLC, the studio that makes Shift Calendar. They cover Shift Calendar for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch from the App Store and Shift Calendar for Android from Google Play. They sit alongside the terms of the store you got the app from: Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, or the Google Play Terms of Service. By using Shift Calendar you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

What Shift Calendar does

Shift Calendar fills a calendar with your shifts from your rotation, lets you mark pickups, time off and changes, reminds you before a shift, and estimates what your shifts pay. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it under these terms and the store's usage rules.

Pay estimates are estimates

The pay figures in Shift Calendar, and in the calculators on this website, are estimates worked out from the rates, rules and shifts you enter. They are not payroll, and they are not tax, legal or financial advice. Your employer's payroll, your contract and the law decide what you are actually paid, and take-home estimates can differ from your real deductions. Check your payslip, and ask your employer or a tax professional when the numbers matter. We are not responsible for decisions made or losses suffered because of an estimate.

Free and Pro

Shift Calendar is free to download and use. Shift Calendar Pro unlocks more, such as the full pay engine, paychecks, multiple jobs and partner sharing. How you buy Pro depends on your device. Prices, billing periods and any trial or offer terms are shown in the App Store or Google Play before you buy, may vary by region, and are charged by Apple or Google. A purchase belongs to the store account you made it with, so a purchase on the App Store unlocks Pro on your Apple devices and a purchase on Google Play unlocks Pro on your Android devices.

App Store (iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch)

  • Payment is processed by Apple and charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
  • Restore a purchase any time on a device signed in to the same Apple Account.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Google Play (Android)

  • Payment is processed by Google Play and charged to the payment method on your Google account when you confirm the purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Cancel in the Google Play app → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
  • Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policies.

Promotional offers

Promotional offers and codes may apply from time to time. Each offer's price, eligibility and end date are shown in the app or the store when you use it. Offers can be limited in number, may be open to new customers only, and can end without notice. They have no cash value.

Your schedule and your sharing links

Your shifts, rates, notes and settings are yours. You can export or delete them at any time; our Privacy Policy explains where they are stored.

Partner sharing (Pro) is off until you turn it on, and you decide who sees it. It shares your shift names and times only, never your pay, rates or notes. If you share a calendar or send someone a sharing link, anyone who has that link can see the shifts in it, so only send it to people you trust. You can make a new link, which stops the old one working, or stop sharing at any time. Stopping sharing ends what we serve; it can't remove copies a calendar app has already saved.

Acceptable use

Please use Shift Calendar for its purpose, and don't:

  • use it for anything illegal or fraudulent;
  • reverse engineer, copy, modify or redistribute the app;
  • overload, scrape or interfere with our services, including sharing links;
  • get around purchase checks or unlock Pro without paying for it.

Third-party services

Shift Calendar relies on services run by others, including the App Store, iCloud and Apple Calendar on Apple devices, and Google Play, Google Calendar and Android backup on Android. Their own terms govern your use of them, and we are not responsible for their availability.

Disclaimer

Shift Calendar is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't promise that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, that every reminder will arrive, or that every estimate will be right. Keep your own check on your schedule.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stack Curious LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including missed shifts, pay differences, loss of data, or loss of profits, arising from your use of Shift Calendar. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.

Changes and ending

We may update Shift Calendar, change or remove features, and update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. You can stop at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which you reside, without regard to conflict of law principles.
