No. The Full Glow-Up Unlock is a one-time purchase of $9.99. You pay once and keep it forever. No recurring charges, no trials that auto-renew.
What do I get for free?
You can start your plan, take your baseline smile scan, get your first Smile Score, and follow the opening days of the program for free — enough to see how it works before you decide.
What does the Full Glow-Up Unlock include?
The complete 30-day program, your full before & after photo history, the side-by-side comparison slider, shareable progress cards, and the rest of the app's premium features — permanently, on your Apple ID.
How does the Smile Score work?
When you scan, Apple's on-device Vision framework finds your smile, and Core Image measures brightness, evenness, and whiteness. Those combine into a single 0–100 Smile Score. It all runs on your iPhone — nothing is uploaded.
Why does it lock the lighting?
After your first baseline scan, SmileStreak locks exposure and white balance so every later photo is measured under the same conditions. That's what makes your before & after honest progress instead of a brighter room or a better angle.
Are my photos private?
Completely. Your selfies, scores, and progress never leave your device. There's no cloud, no account, and no server that sees your face. A before & after card only leaves the app if you choose to share it.
Does SmileStreak actually whiten my teeth?
No — and we won't pretend it does. SmileStreak is a tracker and a routine that keeps you consistent and shows whether your habits are working. Any whitening comes from the products and habits you use, not the app.
Is this dental or medical advice?
No. SmileStreak measures the cosmetic look of your smile for motivation only. It's not a medical or dental device and doesn't diagnose anything. For oral-health concerns, see a dental professional.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Go to Settings in the app → tap "Restore purchase." This re-verifies your purchase with Apple and unlocks everything on your new device.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Scanning, scoring, your program, and your history are fully on-device and work offline. The only thing that needs a connection is verifying or restoring your purchase through Apple.
Troubleshooting
My scores feel inconsistent
Smile Score tracks relative change, and lighting matters most. Scan in similar lighting each time (the app locks exposure to help), hold the phone at a steady distance, and give the same kind of smile. Wild swings usually mean the lighting changed a lot.
The camera permission prompt didn't appear
If you previously denied camera access, iOS won't re-prompt. Go to iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera → enable SmileStreak.
My reminders aren't showing up
Check iOS Settings → Notifications → SmileStreak and make sure notifications are allowed. You can also adjust or re-enable reminders inside the app's Settings.
My purchase isn't showing as unlocked
Go to Settings → "Restore purchase." Make sure you are signed into the same Apple ID you used to purchase.
