Shrunk is an iOS application that uses your device camera to scan grocery barcodes, queries public product databases to retrieve current and historical size information, and presents a verdict on whether the product has shrunk in size (a phenomenon commonly known as “shrinkflation”). It is a consumer information tool. Shrunk does not sell products, does not negotiate with manufacturers, and is not affiliated with any brand, retailer, or product manufacturer.

Product names, brands, sizes, and edit histories are sourced primarily from Open Food Facts, a nonprofit community-maintained database, with fallback to UPCitemDB. Our curated “trending” catalog cites primary sources (such as mouseprint.org and Consumer Reports) for every entry. Shrinkflation percentages are computed from the data available at the moment of lookup.

Despite our best effort, we do not guarantee accuracy. Database entries may be incomplete or out of date. A verdict of “insufficient data” means we could not find historical size information, not that no shrinkflation occurred. Always verify on-package labels before purchase decisions.

Shrunk Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase processed by Apple. It unlocks the Watchlist with background sweeps, real-time alerts, ranked alternatives, and the Savings Dashboard permanently on your Apple ID. There is no subscription, no recurring charge, and no auto-renewal. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's refund policy — we do not process refunds directly.

The personalized savings figures shown during onboarding and in the Savings Dashboard are estimates derived from your stated household size, monthly grocery spend, selected categories, and category-typical shrinkflation rates. They are intended as illustrative anchors, not financial promises. Actual savings depend on your purchasing behavior and the future actions of manufacturers.

Watchlist entries, alert history, onboarding answers, and notification preferences are stored locally on your device. You are responsible for the data you choose to monitor. We do not access, view, or collect your watchlist or scan history.

You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, redistribute, or attempt to extract source code from the app, except to the extent permitted by applicable law. You agree not to use the app to make defamatory claims about any brand or product — Shrunk surfaces public data; how you use that information is your responsibility.

All product names, brand names, and trademarks displayed in the app belong to their respective owners. Shrunk references these names for the purpose of consumer information and does not claim any affiliation with or endorsement from the brands shown.

The app is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any data will be accurate or complete.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stack Curious, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the app, including but not limited to damages related to purchasing decisions made based on app content.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA.
